Anthony Levandowski is not an ordinary person at all. He started by being an engineer at Google and continued to head the Uber self-driving program before he became the CEO of Way of the Future.
The Way of the Future is a religious corporation, strictly non-profit, which was in operation since three years ago, from September 2015, with the only purpose – creating an AI God.
The organization has the intentions to use this Godhead to help in the development of the today’s society.
We are not familiar with the information about how large the Way of the Future is, or how much work they have done on this Godhead.
But, what we actually know is that the purpose of Levandowski is to enable this creation to command worship and obedience.
A lot of people consider this idea very attractive. The organization claims that in only half a century, this Godhead is going to have surpassed humanity in all the aspects.
Christian organizations, such as the Christian Transhumanist organization, are in favor of this as they believe it is going to help those that seek redemption if it is created keeping in mind Christian values.
But, many prominent personalities disapprove of this because they believe that artificial intelligence is detrimental to the growth of humankind.
Stephen Hawking, as well as Elon Musk and a lot of other scientists, do not think that we will have the ability to merge in harmony with machines no matter how technologically advanced we are.
Musk has usually warned that instead of worrying about the aggression of North Korea, we have to worry about AI, as it is soon going to be out of our control.
While it is completely true that artificial intelligence might be useful in the future to create more prosperity, as well as development, we cannot escape the elephant in the room.
So, what will happen if one day we become weaker than the AI which we developed, and they realize that?
What if in the future humans live under the regime of an omniscient, as well as omnipotent, godlike, AI machine?
What if those days come very soon?
