...before I explain why these aren’t “ordinary bracelets”....
Let me tell you a quick story...
Over three hundred years ago, the Burmese army planned an attack to invade Thailand. At the time, the country was known as Siam.
...and, GET THIS :
The Siamese monks were in possession of the most amazing Buddha statue.
The statue was over 10 feet tall and weighed OVER 2 TONS.
Not only that -- it was made of SOLID GOLD and is valued today at over $200 MILLION DOLLARS.
Here’s where the story gets interesting..
The siamese monks didn’t care much about the monetary value of the shrine.
In fact, it was PRICELESS to them for reasons that transcended money .
Since the shrine meant so much to them, the monks were determined to protect the shrine that meant so much to them.
Despite the shrine being priceless to the monks -- they knew that the Burmese would stop at nothing to steal the buddha statue because of it’s tremendous monetary value.
So, what did the monks do?
They covered the Golden Buddha with 12 inches of clay knowing that the warriors would totally ignore it and believe that it was just another worthless clay statue.
Guess what? The plan worked .
Sadly, the monks were slaughtered in the invasion and the secret of the Golden Buddha stayed hidden for another two centuries.
The Buddha itself though, remained safe. In the mid 1950’s, the monastery was to be relocated to make room for a new highway.
The monks arranged for a crane to come and move the “Clay” Buddha to its new location. When the crane started to lift the statue, it was MUCH HEAVIER than expected and it began to crack.
Wanting to protect the priceless shrine, the monks lowered it back down and decided to WAIT until the next day to bring more powerful equipment. To add insult to injury, the rains came so the monks lovingly covered the statue with tarps to keep the moisture away.
In the dark of night, the head monk took his flashlight and went out to make sure the Buddha was adequately covered.
When the light of the flashlight shone into the crack of the clay, he saw a glimmer…a reflection of something underneath that shroud of clay.
He immediately started to carefully chisel away shards of clay to find that the glimmer grew brighter.
Hours later, and all the clay removed… he was in the presence of a Buddha made of solid gold.
It now resides in The Temple of the Golden Buddha in Bangkok, Thailand.
Every year, MILLIONS of people go there to see this magnificent work of art and to worship at his feet.
MILLIONS of people draw inspiration from this special buddha every day..
Here’s the crazy part:It may very well have NEVER BEEN UNCOVERED if it wasn’t for a seemingly coincidental sequence of events...
You might have a hard time believing this at this moment..
But, what if I told you that..
YOU ARE JUST LIKE THE GOLDEN BUDDHA.
Stay with me here.
Much like the golden buddha that was hidden underneath layers of clay, your true nature is also hidden underneath layers of social conditioning…
The key to uncovering your true self..
The key to finding your purpose..
..is to IGNORE EVERYONE ELSE -- and to follow your own heart and intuition.
The challenge is that, we silly humans forget to do it consistently…
These beautiful Handmade Knots Bracelets are handmade by Buddhist Monks and their families. The knots are tied as they recite mantras to allow the bracelets to absorb the powerful energy such that the positive energy can flow into its bearer.
A mantra is a sequence of words or syllables that are usually repetitively chanted as part of Buddhist practice. It is thought to evoke enlightenment and is usually used as a part of a form of meditation.
The Sanskrit word mantra when translated has a combined meaning of "to think" and "designating tools or instruments", hence a literal translation would be "instrument of thought".
