Using Singing Bowls To Reduce Stress And Balance Your Energy System

A singing bowl represents a bell that vibrates and makes a rich, deep tone. The second name of this bowl is a Himalayan bowl, and they promote relaxation and some other healing properties. The monks from the Buddhist religion have used these Himalayan singing bowls, especially in meditation.

Furthermore, we will present to you some wellness tricks that are made using the singing bowls. There are many usages of these bowels, like the reduction of stress and pain relief. There are many options so that you can combine them with other practices and processes, such as meditation and deep breathing.

While the singing bowls produce the music, it harmonizes the cells in the organism. You will start to balance the energy system and even will stimulate the immune system. There aren’t many scientific surveys that examined the stress relief, although they were used in the past. There are a couple of available studies, and one of them is Swiss Journal Research in Complementary Medicine. In this study, 54 people deal with chronic pain that comes from the spine, and they were recommended six sessions of singing bowl therapy, a placebo treatment, and maybe no treatment.

The results of the study showed that the people using the singing bowls and placebo treatment have a significant reduction of the pain. Besides the decrease in pain, there was a considerable reduction in the stress. But, with these findings, the study’s authors cannot confirm the effectiveness of the singing bowls. So, they made a preliminary study that was announced and published in the American Journal of Health Promotion in 2014. Then they examined the benefits of having a direct relaxation of 12 minutes session with singing bowls. This resulted in an obvious reduction of the blood pressure and heart rate compared with the results before the therapy.

How to use a singing Bowl?

To make music with this instrument, you should press the accompanying mallet in a circular motion, contrary to the bowl’s outside edge. Once you notice a beautiful tone, you should slow down. For the movement, you should use your full arm, not only rotating your wrist. The motion should be circular, and you can gently stroke the bowl before the move.
