Eating More Plants Can Help You Save The World (And Yourself)

Remember when you were a kid and your parents wanted you to eat vegetables? But you preferred meats or processed foods like sausages, burgers, or nuggets?

We may know the reasons why our parents were dictating us to eat vegetables. Because it will make us HEALTHY. And since we don’t seem to notice the drastic bad effects of not eating vegetables, we keep on eating meat.

It prevents chronic diseases.

Plants or vegetables provide sources of many nutrients, including POTASSIUM (which helps to maintain healthy blood pressure), FIBER (which helps reduce blood cholesterol levels and helps lower risk of heart disease) and others like folate, and vitamins A, E and C.

Water Conservation

Raising animals for meat consumes MORE water than growing plants. It takes more than 2,400 gallons of water to produce just 1 pound of beef. Imagine that?

On a daily basis, animals on factory farms make tons of pounds of manure, which ends up in lakes and rivers.

Cleaner Air.

Not only water but the animal manure also poisons the air we breathe as it produce substances like pathogens, ammonia, and many more.

Prevents deforestation

Eating plants instead of meat means lesser demand of animal meat. Which also means lesser forests being turned to factory farms.
